Le Gurk – Gin Cocktail with Cucumber

Le Gurk - Cocktail made with gin, Elderflower, apple juice and cucumber. Served in a highball glass garnished with a cucumber.

Recipe

40 ml | 1 1/3 oz › Gin
22 ml | 3/4 oz › Elderflower Liqueur
22 ml | 3/4 oz › Lemon Juice
40 ml | 1 1/3 oz › Apple Juice
10 ml | 1/3 oz › Simple Syrup
1/8 Cucumber

Method: Pour gin into shaker and muddle the cucumber. Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice cubes and shake.
Garnish: Cucumber
Glass: Highball

The story of the Le Gurk

Le Gurk – The first Cocktail with Cucumber by Axel Klubescheidt.
The idea to create a drink around cucumber was once absolutely innovative in 2009. Cucumber otherwise came into its own as an infusion in Hendrick’s Gin and acted as a decoration in the Moscow Mule. So Le Gurk was the first known drink to offer the cucumber such a showcase.

This „Highball“ impresses with its balanced mix of sweetness and tartness from lemon and elderflower in combination with gin and cucumber. The added apple juice blends in smoothly and provides a refreshing drinking experience.

For many gin collectors this longdrink should also be interesting. Just try different gin styles. Especially floral New Western Style Gin give interesting results.
