The story of the Caneflower Cocktail

The Caneflower cocktail was adapted from a recipe created in 2009 by Jeffrey Morgenthaler in Portland, Oregon, USA.

It’s a drink that combines the robustness of cachaça with the bittersweet notes of Aperol and the floral hints of elderflower liqueur. It is rust-colored and presents a bittersweet taste profile that’s balanced by the sweet, floral essence of the elderflower. The cachaça provides a strong backbone, giving the drink a potent kick that’s mellowed by the Aperol’s bitterness and the liqueur’s sweetness.
