The story of the Applejack Rabbit Cocktail

The applejack rabbit cocktail is a classic drink that dates back to the 1920s. It is made with applejack, a type of apple brandy that has been produced in America since colonial times. The cocktail also features fresh lemon and orange juices and maple syrup for a touch of sweetness.

I always have a hard time when it comes to cocktails with orange juice in the recipe. The Blood and Sand cocktail is one of them, for example. Then there are also exceptions like the fluffy Garibaldi or some Tiki cocktails in which orange juice is only a small part of a larger recipe. I like those. And then you’re even happier when you find a classic sour cocktail that tastes wonderful with orange juice. 

A great drink, just the way I like it. And although this drink with its warm spicy notes belongs more in winter, I would definitely drink it all year round.
